Consequent to the Second Supplementary DPC for the year 2007-08 held on 27.03.2008, the following Inspectors of Central Excise are promoted to the grade of Superintendent of Central Excise in the pay scale of Rs.7500 - 250 - 12000 purely on ad hoc basis with immediate effect and their promotion will be effective from the date they assume the charge as ”Superintendent of Central Excise”.

2. The officers promoted on ad hoc basis are not entitled to exercise option for fixation of pay and the promotion does not confer on the officers so promoted any claim for continued officiation in the grade of Superintendent and the period of such service will not count for seniority or as qualifying service for further promotions. The officers who have already been granted financial benefits in the scale of pay of Superintendent of Central Excise under ACP Scheme are not entitled for any fixation benefits now.

3. The promotion now ordered is subject to the decision of the Central Administrative Tribunal and other appropriate forum(s) in pending cases.

4. Consequent to the above promotions, they are posted to the Zone / Commissionerate indicated against their names as mentioned below:
