Central Excise, Chennai III
Commissionerate is the Chairman of the
Committee.
3. The tenure of the Public
Grievance Committee is two calendar
years - 2010 and 2011. The function of
the Committee is to examine and resolve
the individual Grievances of the Trade
and Industry which are not acted upon by
the Field Officers within a reasonable
time on a regular basis. The Committee
will discuss oral and written
complaints, including unsigned
complaints.
4. Members will be informed
in advance about the date and the venue
of each meeting. They are requested to
send their points for discussion within
the stipulated time so that the same
could be included in the agenda for
discussion.
5. It is requested that
members of the Trade and Industry may
make use of this Committee for resolving
any complaint or grievance pertaining to
this Commissionerate by sponsoring the
same through the Committee members.

2006 1.
A Public Grievance Committee (PGC) comprising
members drawn from the Trade and Industry
is available for redressel
of Grievances of the Tax Payers. This
Committee generally meets once in three
months and can
meet even earlier depending on the urgency
of the matter 2.
The names, telephone numbers, fax numbers
and e-mail addresses of the PGC are given
below. Central Excise and Service Tax assessees
in the jurisdiction of Chennai III Commissionerate
may make use of this forum for resolving
any Complaint or Grievance by sponsoring
the same through any Members of the Committee
. |

The present Chairman of the Committee is
