SUBJECT: Exemption to taxable services provided for official the use of a

                   foreign diplomatic mission or consular post or for personal use 

                   of diplomatic agents or their family members or career      

                   consular officers posted in a foreign diplomatic mission or

                   consular post in India – reg.

Ministry’s Notification No.33/2007-ST dated 23.05.2007 exempts taxable services provided for official use of a foreign diplomatic mission or consular post in India alongwith Corrigendum issued vide F. No. 137/17/2007-CX.4 dated 15.06.2007. Board Notification No. 34/2007-ST dated 23.05.2007 exempts taxable services provided for the personal use or for the use of the family members of diplomatic agents or career consular officers posted in a foreign diplomatic mission or consular post in India.

 

Both the above notifications and corrigendum are communicated herewith for information and necessary action. 

 

All the Trade associations are requested to bring the contents of the Trade Notice to the attention of their members, in particular, and the trade and all other concerned in general.
