QUOTATIONS / TENDERS  FOR PEST / RODENT CONTROL SERVICES

          Quotations / Tenders are invited from reputed, registered firms/companies engaged in the business of pest management / rodent management services as detailed in the Annexure for the Office of the Commissioner of Central Excise, Chennai I Commissionerate, No.26/1, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai-600034. 

           The quotations / tenders (in sealed cover) should reach this Office latest by 05.00 pm on or before 05.02.2010 and they will be opened at 05.15 pm on the same day.

ANNEXURE TO QUOTATION / TENDER

1)                 The details of the office premises where the contractor shall carry out the activities of Pest and Rodent Control Services may please be collected from Superintendent, Computer Section / Public Relations Officer of Chennai-I Commissionerate.

2)                 The agreement shall come into effect from the date of acceptance of tender  and shall be in force for a period of one year and can be renewed for further period of 1 year with the consent of the both the parties.

3)                 The contractor shall carryout the activities of Pest & Rodent control services on weekly / fortnightly basis.

4)                 The contractor shall quote the rates inclusive of labour charges, statutory expenses and other maintenance costs.

5)                 The department will not pay any money directly to the person(s) employed by the contractor.

6)                 The contractor shall provide adequate manpower to take care of the activities and ensure proper supervision of the manpower deployed by him.

7)                 The contractor at any time after the completion of the initial treatment, the pest shall re-appear in the premises; the contractor shall without further payment repeat the treatment of the said premises to such extent and so often before the said date as may be necessary to free the said premises of the pests.

8)                 The contractor shall not by any means be or become liable to the customer for any damage suffered by the customer directly or indirectly through the presence of the pest in the said premises by the only liability of contractor hereunder shall be to treat the said premises with such process or processes as hereinbefore provided and to ensure economic control of the pests from the said premises.

9)                 The contractor shall ensure that his employees while on the premises carrying out their obligation under this agreement, observe the standards of cleanliness, decorum, safely and general discipline laid down by the customer.

10)             The contractor shall be liable for and make good any damage caused to the customer premises or any part thereof or to any fixtures or fittings thereof of therein or loss causes due to theft etc. by any act, omission default or negligence of the contractor or his employees.

11)             The customer shall also not be responsible or liable for any theft, loss, damage or destruction of any properly of the contractor by their employees lying in the premises from any cause whatsoever.

12)           Either party shall be at liberty to terminate the contract by giving one month’s prior written notice to the other.
