ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT OF U.P.S.

Sub.:

Annual Maintenance Contract of Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems (UPS)– Reg

        

Quotations are invited from reputed service providers from Chennai city, for entering into Annual Maintenance Contract for UPS Systems, in Central Excise, Chennai – I Commissionerate. The details of the UPSs is enclosed.

Terms and conditions :

 

1.  The AMC shall cover comprehensive contract for repairs and cost of replacement of all parts of the UPS including PCBs, Components, Battery, etc. However, the AMC does not include cost of replacement of batteries for UPSs of 1 KVA, 2 KVA, 3 KVA , 5 KVA and 7.5 KVA ratings.

 

2.  The service personnel shall rectify the complaint received from the Office on the same day.  If necessary, they will be required to stay back after office hours and even on holidays too, to attend to any emergency work.

 

3.   If the faulty components / UPS(s) are not rectified within the same working day, necessary stand by components / UPS(s) of the same KVA rating shall be provided on the following day for smooth functioning of office work. If the original equipment is not rectified till the expiry of the contract, either the cost of repair of the equipment be borne by the contractor or the stand-by supplied by the contractor not be reclaimed.

 

4.   Preventive maintenance such as checking the general performance of UPS Systems and DC standby sources, filling of distilled water & application of white petroleum jelly for non-sealed type UPS, etc. shall be done at site twice in a month.

 

5. The successful bidder should maintain Log Registers/Service Reports of all calls attended/Pending issues/preventive maintenance records and details of all replacement of spares. A separate log shall be maintained for Preventive Maintenance.

 

6.  No component(s) / spare(s) / computer(s) shall be removed without informing the competent authority.

 

7.  Payments will be made on quarterly basis only after satisfactory completion of each Quarter.

 

8. Since all maintenance / installations are within Chennai City, no TA/DA/any other Allowance will be paid to the staff of the Contractor.

 

9.  The AMC shall be in force for 12 months from 01.04.2010 to 31.03.2011 and is liable to be terminated at any time by giving notice of one month by either party.

 

10. The quotations should be sent in sealed cover super-scribed as
