The Trade is hereby informed that consequent on the re-organisation of the existing Commissionerates and in terms of Notification No. 14/2002 – CE(NT) dated 08.03.2002 as amended by Notification No. 22/2002 – CE(NT) dated 04.06.2002, the Jurisdiction of Chennai II Commissionerate has been revised.
It is further brought to the notice of the Trade that the following divisions have been ordered to function within the jurisdiction of Chennai II Central Excise Commissionerate.
1. Division – I
2. Division – II
3. Division – III
4. Division – IV and
5. Division – V
The geographical jurisdiction of Divisions and Ranges of Chennai II Central Excise Commissionerate are furnished in the annexure to the Trade Notice.
This Trade Notice is being issued so as to facilitate the Trade to note the Organisational changes referred to above and it shall be noted that the changes will come into effect from the date which will be notified and communicated to the Trade by way of Trade Notice later.
The contents of the Trade Notice may be brought to the notice of all constituent members of Trade Associations/Chamber of Commerce.
