Representations have been received from the Trade regarding difficulties faced by them in availing exemption under Notn. No.108/95-CE dated 20.8.95, as amended, in the absence of a prescribed form of the Certificate required to be furnished in terms of the said Notification. The Chief Commissioner has examined the issue and has prescribed a Certificate for the said purpose. A Specimen copy of the same is reproduced herewith. Assessees wishing to avail exemption under the said Notification are required to furnish Certificate in the prescribed format only for ensuring uniformity.

2. The contents of this Trade Notice may be communicated to all the constituent members of your Association.
