The Board has extended the last date for filing of declaration by the Textile Sector from 15.4.03 to 25.4.03. Copy of Notification No. 36/2003 CE (NT) dated 16.04.2003 issued in this regard is communicated herewith for information and necessary action.

          The contents of  the Trade Notice may be brought to the notice of all concerned.

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the CENVAT Credit Rules, 2002, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the CENVAT Credit (Eighth Amendment) Rules, 2003.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the CENVAT Credit Rules, 2002, in rule 9A, in sub-rule (4), for the figures and words ³15^th day of April, 2003², the figures and words ³25^th day of April, 2003² shall be substituted.
